This is a dedication to my favorite hobby : FISHING !
I have been into fishing for at least 15 years. Although I enjoy both Freshwater and Saltwater fishing, I much prefer Saltwater.
Catching rainbow trout is fun at the local lakes and streams my father and I visit. But that is nothing compared to catching
a 20 pound Striper out in a boat on the ocean miles from shore. Or chumming for big "slammer" Bluefish at midnight
during a full moon in October. There's just something alittle bolder, bigger and tougher about being on a boat fighting a
fish that refuses to give up easily.

Fishing - April 11, 2010 - Core Creek Park
My son landed his first Largemouth Bass today. It was a beauty that measured about
13"-14" long. He was alittle scared to hold the bass by it's lip but came around in the end for a nice photo.

Fishing - April 5, 2010 - Fort Washington State Park
Today, I brought my son along with my Dad and I to refresh him on the basics of fishing.
5 minutes after getting to our fishing hole, he fought and landed his first trout. It was a beautiful Rainbow that was about
13-14" in length.
He made us very proud of him.

Opening Day - Trout Season 2010
This weekend was Opening Day of Trout season for the Philadelphia
and surrounding areas. My Dad and I headed up to our local fishing hole (Core Creek Park) for a pretty good outing.
Though we both missed setting the hook on some fish, the fish were larger than usual with multiple "breeders" seen.
The weather turned out to be excellent and the fish were sporadically biting throughout the day. Though my Dad had errands
he had to handle he found his way back a few hours later and continued to pull fish out. One fish he had (but lost when it
broke his line) was a breeder trout at least 20" long. It was a tale of "the one that got away"...
All in all a great Opening Day.
I have also added something new. A Fish Counter to keep track of the fish we catch.
My Father and I are very competitive about our elite fishing skills and are constantly challenging each other and egging each
other on. This will be an ongoing scorecard to see who is the best (just for fun of course)...
Opening Day - April 18, 2009

| One of our many stops in search of Trout. |
Opening Day for Trout season was this past weekend (April 18, 2009) in all areas
of Pennsylvania except for Philadelphia, Bucks County and Montgomery County (they all opened 2 weeks ago.)
I took my annual weekend long camping / fishing trip to the Poconos. Though the weather was
perfect and the camping fun as usual, there was not a single trout caught.
In an effort to track down the trouts whereabouts, alot of driving was done. Though we were
camped at Hickory Run State Park, we tried a number of lakes, rivers, ponds and creeks in a frantic effort to land fish.
Among some of the many fishing holes were the Hickory Run Creek, Hickory Run Lake, Sandspring
Lake, Hawk Falls, Mud Creek, Lehigh River, Drake Run, Beltzville Lake and the Pocopoho creek.

| Another location that we did well at in the past. This spot is right under the bridge at I-940. |
| Beltzville Lake |
|
|
| The 7-mile wide 1,000-acre lake yielded not a single bite. |
